Happy Mother's Day!!!

Jacie and Daddy started off my 2nd Mother's Day by letting me stay in bed a little late. They made me breakfast, colored me a picture, and gave me a couple of cards. We had a fun time going out to lunch, and then Jacie took a 3-hour nap!!! We've worn her out with all of our travel lately. What a sweetie!!

Ornery Girl

Jacie is getting quite sassy in her ripe age of 21 months!!! She's officially hit the "MINE!" phase, which has created a few challenges. She's getting more and more adventurous-- loves to climb, open and close things, etc. Her disposition can change in a matter of seconds, so we enjoy the smiles and giggles when we can!!!

Latest News

Jacie has a lot of new things going on in her life. She'll soon be leaving Arlington to move to San Antonio. She'll be staying home with Mom now, and she'll be a big sister at the end of October!!! All of this calls for a little dancing, right!?! Jacie enjoyed busting a few moves in front of Chuy's restaurant in San Antonio this week.

Easter Sunday

Jacie looked so cute in her Easter dress, but we couldn't get a good picture!! When we'd ask her to smile, she'd lift her chin up. When Mama was in a picture with her, someone's eyes were always partially closed!!! When Daddy was in the picture that turned out best, Jacie's tongue was sticking out from trying to imitate the strange sound Mama was making to get her to look!! Oh, well. We're hoping to get a good bluebonnet picture again this year, so hopefully that's coming soon!!!

Easter Eggs

Jacie and Mama colored Easter eggs again this year, but Jacie was mostly interested in using the egg-dipper for a telephone. (Everything has the potential to become a phone right now...she's always holding some object up to the side of her head and saying, "Hallow?")
Jacie also participated in two Easter egg hunts-- one at her daycare and one at church. When we saw her go for it at the church egg hunt, we knew she had learned well!!!

Fun at the Park

Since our house is on the market, Jacie gets lots of spontaneous visits to the park. She can't wait to get outside and climb on something!!! She has starting talking about her stroller every time she sees it, and she even climbs into it herself now!!

20 Months Old

Jacie is 20 months old now and surprising us every minute. She's very interested in the potty and, while she's not yet consistent, she uses it pretty often at home. Her vocabulary has also exploded-- she's always saying something new that we had no idea she could say!!! She's starting to repeat the last couple words of our sentences. For example, she always tells me, "Jacie wash hands." I tell her we need to pull her sleeves up, and she says, "Sleeves up," and does the same when I say we're pulling them back down. She talks almost non-stop and is even trying to say her ABC's!!! It's so cute.
Jacie is still quite the Daddy's Girl and thoroughly enjoys her quality Daddy time. Whether playing Wii, wrestling, snuggling, playing, or watching hunting shows with him, she's happy as can be!!!
