Pajama Preferences

People Mama talks to have heard the ridiculous pajama story about how we can't get Jacie to wear her Santa Claus pajamas. This video won't give you the full picture since we spared her by not actually trying to put them on. (That would have instigated the real fit.) If you haven't heard the story, she refuses to wear them, and now when we try to put her in anything red and pink, she has to look it over real good to make sure we're not trying to put those on.
We've even put them on her in the dark when she was half asleep, but she still caught us and screamed until we got her out of bed and changed her. She, however, LOVES her monkey pajamas and has even gotten upset when we took them off and has pulled them out of the dirty clothes and asked for them to be put back on. Our girl knows what she wants!

Not a Santa Fan

Jacie is definitely not a fan of Santa this year. Since she cried for her picture with Santa at the school, we got a cute picture of her with Daddy at home.

Christmas Activities

Jacie tried to help Mama with her Christmas cookies, but she really enjoyed eating them!!! She also enjoyed the Arlington Parade of Lights. Despite the cold, she was especially intrigued by the horses and the dogs. We were worried she'd be scared of the Elvises on the mini-motorcycles (which we found out that Dad secretly aspires to be), but she got a kick out of them, too!

Thanksgiving

Aunt Michelle and Willis were very kind in hosting Thanksgiving for all of us this year!!! Jacie enjoyed time with the family (especially practicing some cheerleading stunts with Uncle Scott)! We were disappointed to find that she wasn't into the Thanksgiving food-- she wanted her same old boring pasta and fruit. When we got home, Jacie was determined to help Dad put up the new Christmas tree....or was she just determined to climb on the stepladder? She was ready for bed that night in her cozy fleece pajamas.

Another Visit from Grandma TeeTee

Grandma TeeTee came to visit right before Thanksgiving. Jacie had a great time with her--TeeTee spoiled her a little and helped her practice her coloring. Jacie also showed off how she still likes to ride Harley. Good dog, Harley!!!

In the Kitchen

Anytime Mama is in the kitchen, Jacie is guaranteed to be there, too. (Unless I've distracted her with one of her videos.)

Christmas Pictures Continued

Despite it being crowded, late, cold, and windy, we did manage to get a couple of mediocre ones. Better luck next year?

Christmas Pictures Fun

Ah, the difference a few months makes!!! We took Jacie back to Portrait Innovations for Christmas pictures-- the same place at which we got some marvelous first birthday ones!!! Needless to say, a 16-month old is not NEARLY as cooperative as a 12-month old!!! Our precious little "pose for the camera" girl is now a "make strange faces and don't do anything we want you to do" girl!!! She was so cute sitting in a chair awhile back, but this is what it looked like when we tried this time.
