New Activities

Jacie started pulling up a couple of weeks ago, although she still hasn't mastered it by any means. As previously mentioned, she can't crawl but is still extremely mobile. She moved up to the next daycare class today, so we're sure she'll be learning more from these bigger kids!!!
She has started to understand the word, "kiss," although she won't give them to you on your face. She just makes a sound with her mouth. She saw Mama and Daddy kissing goodbye yesterday morning, and she began making the noise then, too!!! It was too funny. She's getting better about waving, but she often does it after we've given up and the person has turned away. I guess that's how all kids do it, huh?

Texas Bluebonnets

We couldn't get through Jacie's first spring without some bluebonnet pictures!!! We love the one of her by herself.

Jacie's First Easter

The Easter Bunny came to visit Jacie, and she was very intrigued with what he brought!!! She also got to try some of Mama's chocolate bunny, and she got spoiled by Nana aAdd Imagend Popa with another Easter basket!

Coloring Easter Eggs

...okay, so maybe it was more for Mama, but Jacie and I colored Easter eggs on Friday. It was funny how she preferred the real eggs to the plastic ones. Of course, the one I let her hold was hurled onto the table after a second. We had fun.

Bed and Bath Time

We had to move Jacie's mattress down, because she's continually getting more mobile. She has gotten to where we wake up to her kicking the crib rails for awhile before assuming one of her new positions-- on her side with her hair sticking up and her feet through the rails!!!

She still loves her bath, and she has recently learned how good those foam letters feel on her gums.

Interactive Play

Jacie recently got mad at us when we were trying to get her to crawl. (She seems to be stuck in reverse...she only scoots backwards or moves around in a circle.) When she got mad and put her head down, we started asking, "Where's Jacie?" Of course, she totally hammed it up when we didn't have a camera on, but here's a sample of her playing that game when she's really tired.

We can't believe how much Jacie is growing!
We love how her personality shines through.
